Assures all terms requested will appear on the selections

OR

Selections will return either of two terms

NOT

Selections will not contain the words you specify

NEAR

Selections will find words within a ten-character distance of each other or according to the number of characters you specify; depends on the search engine used

Parentheses ( )

NOT Bill AND Clinton will yield pages with Clinton in them; NOT (Bill AND Clinton) avoids selections with both names

Plus (+) and Minus (-)

Place a plus or minus sign in front of keywords to either include or exclude them
